All notices for vacating your rental property must be submitted in writing on the appropriate form as per your lease terms and conditions.

All parties named on your lease agreement must sign the form and return to your property manager. The Notice period commences once acknowledged and accepted by our office. Please submit original signed forms.

NOTICE PERIODS will depend on your current lease terms:

FIXED TERM LEASE AGREEMENT (Fixed lease period has not expired and you wish to vacate at the end of the fixed term)

If you are currently in fixed term  lease agreement you are required to provide 14 days’ notice to vacate premises.

PERIODIC LEASE AGREEMENT (Fixed lease period has expired)

If you are currently in a periodic lease agreement you are required to provide 21 days’ notice to vacate premises.

BREAK LEASE:

Mandatory break fees applicable if you signed your Residential Tenancy Agreement after 23rd March 2020 which apply, are payable based on the stage of the agreement.

A break fee is a penalty a tenant agrees to pay if they move out before the end of the fixed term.

If the mandatory break fee applies, the set fee payable is:

  • four weeks rent if less than 25 per cent of the agreement has expired
  • three weeks rent if 25 per cent or more but less than 50 per cent of the agreement has expired
  • two weeks rent if 50 per cent of more but less than 75 per cent of the agreement has expired
  • one weeks rent if 75 per cent or more of the agreement has expired.

Please refer to your lease agreement should your lease remain in a fixed term, signed prior to 23rd March 2020.
